We’re back
Posted by admin in DVD, SteelBooks on March 23rd, 2009
Hey there everyone,
I must have gone over my limit (= success of the blog?) so we were cut off for a couple of days. Might also have been a server outage, who knows?
Anyway, I thought I’d update you since my last post Thursday. It feels like so much has happened since then that I don’t even know where to start. After I left it, I went out and scored some of the other TF1 SteelBooks released that day, so here’s a group shot:

After further research, I found out that The Shawshank Redemption was definitely not a SteelBook (which saddens me very much as out of the 11 releases that day, it was the one I was looking forward to the most to own in a nice Steel package), just an amaray case with a slipcover. Other than that, it seems that neither Tom Yung Goong and Diarios de Motocicleta got a release at all, be it in a SteelBook or in a simple Blu-ray. Probably postponed or canceled.
What to add? Oh I also decided to grab a few movies I didn’t have yet such as Match Point and Scoop, the latter I traded and need to reacquire. I should be getting the six first James Bond Steels from Canada soon enough.
Do you think I should start posting tests?
The only problem is that I’m not yet equipped with a HD audio system. I’m limited to my old analogic 5.1 system, albeit very good for an 11-year-old ensemble, I still need to be fully upgraded to truly appreciate what HD Audio has to offer.
I’d also like to add that I received the Limited “Internet in a Box” Edition of The IT Crowd, Series 1-3 and it looks grand!

I’m sure there’s more to say but I’ll just post something new in case.
“The IT Crowd: Series 1-3 Box Set – Limited Internet in a Box” out tomorrow
This is quite an odd post. I usually don’t talk about DVDs, but nobody can deny that they’re still part of the modern world’s media platforms.
The IT Crowd is simply of the most ingenious British TV shows I’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing (along with Father Ted). Sadly, unless Channel4 commission a new series to be produced, then this will be the last of The IT Crowd, after three short series of a mere 6 episodes each. But how intense were those episodes!
So, tomorrow, we’ll have the pleasure of seeing the release of the entire show on DVD in a “Limited Internet in a Box” edition. To see where it comes from, watch this YouTube video.
I, for one, will be ordering this boxset as of tomorrow. I can’t wait to see Roy, Moss and Jen again.
