I only trade DVDs for DVDs, except if you have a rare show on VCD. I can also rip VHSs so don't be afraid to propose some tapes, I'd be more than glad to rip them for myself or whatever.
I use Verbatim Silver DVD-Rs and accept good brands like Verbatim, TDK, Sony, Philips...
Do not write on the discs, you can put them in a sleeve and then maybe put a small piece of paper saying what DVD it is. As long as I get it.
